To ensure that you and your mentor have a productive and rewarding experience, we have established a set of rules that we ask all mentees to follow:

1. Commitment to Growth:

  • Embrace the mentorship with an open mind and a dedication to personal and professional development.

  • Set clear, achievable goals for what you wish to gain from the mentorship.

 

2. Respect and Professionalism:

  • Treat your mentor and the mentorship opportunity with the utmost respect.

  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions, be it in person, via email, or through any other communication channels.


3. Punctuality and Preparedness:

  • Be punctual for all scheduled meetings and sessions with your mentor.

  • Come prepared with questions, updates on your progress, and be ready to engage in meaningful discussions.


4. Active Participation:

  • Actively participate in the sessions by listening attentively, asking questions, and providing feedback.

  • Take initiative in your learning and be proactive in seeking advice and guidance.
     

5. Honesty and Integrity:

  • Be honest about your strengths, weaknesses, and the areas you wish to improve.

  • Uphold integrity by keeping commitments and following through on the action plans you develop with your mentor.

  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with your mentor.

  • Be clear about your expectations and any challenges you are facing.
     

7. Confidentiality:

  • Respect the confidentiality of the relationship and any sensitive information shared during the mentorship.

 

8. Feedback and Reflection:

  • Be open to receiving constructive feedback and use it as a tool for growth.

  • Reflect on your experiences and the advice given to you, and apply it to your personal and professional life.
     

9. Gratitude:

  • Show appreciation for your mentor’s time, effort, and wisdom.

  • Acknowledge the value of the guidance and support you receive.


10. Adherence to Program Guidelines:

  • Follow all the guidelines and policies set forth by MentorSphere.Africa.

  • Engage with the program coordinators if you encounter any issues or have concerns about your mentorship experience.
