Welcome to MentorSphere.Africa! By participating in our mentorship program, you agree to abide by the terms outlined in this agreement, which ensures a professional, respectful, and enriching experience for all participants. This document outlines your responsibilities, rights, and our commitment to fostering a positive and impactful mentorship environment.

1. Purpose

The purpose of this agreement is to:

• Define the roles and responsibilities of mentors and mentees.

• Establish expectations for conduct and participation.

• Ensure alignment with MentorSphere.Africa’s mission and policies.

 

2. Roles and Responsibilities

For Mentees:

• Commit to actively participating in all scheduled mentorship sessions.

• Set clear goals and communicate them with your mentor.

• Respect the mentor’s time, expertise, and boundaries.

For Mentors:

• Provide guidance and support tailored to the mentee’s goals.

• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.

• Encourage mentees to take ownership of their growth journey.

For MentorSphere.Africa:

• Facilitate the pairing process and provide ongoing support.

• Offer resources and training materials to enhance the mentorship experience.

• Address any concerns or conflicts promptly and fairly.

 

3. Code of Conduct

Participants agree to:

1. Treat all individuals with respect and professionalism.

2. Abide by the standards outlined in The Orbit Code and related policies, including the Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy.

3. Avoid any behavior that could harm the integrity of the mentorship program.

 

4. Confidentiality

1. Participants must keep all shared information confidential unless explicitly permitted to share.

2. MentorSphere.Africa will safeguard participant data in compliance with the Privacy Policy.

 

5. Commitment

1. Duration: Participants commit to a [3-month] mentorship program, attending all scheduled sessions unless unavoidable circumstances arise.

2. Communication: Participants must notify each other and MentorSphere.Africa of any scheduling conflicts or changes.

 

6. Conflict Resolution

1. Participants agree to address conflicts respectfully and directly.

2. For unresolved issues, MentorSphere.Africa’s support team is available to mediate and facilitate resolutions.

 

7. Termination

1. Participants may withdraw from the program with written notice to MentorSphere.Africa.

2. MentorSphere.Africa reserves the right to terminate participation for violations of this agreement or related policies.

 

8. Acknowledgment of Policies

By agreeing to this document, participants confirm their understanding and acceptance of:

• The Privacy Policy

• The Terms of Use

• The Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy

• The Safety & Confidentiality Policy

 

9. Liability Disclaimer

MentorSphere.Africa is not liable for:

1. The outcomes of mentorship relationships, as success depends on individual efforts and circumstances.

2. Any actions or behavior outside the scope of the mentorship program.

 

10. Updates to the Agreement

MentorSphere.Africa reserves the right to update this agreement as necessary. Participants will be notified of any significant changes via email or platform announcements.

By participating in MentorSphere.Africa, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Program Participation Agreement.
